Prince’s Trust Established 

When His Majesty (then His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales) completed his duty in the Royal Navy, he came to the prescient conclusion that we needed to invest in young people to build a better future.  His Majesty turned his belief into action by using his Navy severance to fund community initiatives targeted at youth, beginning the Prince’s Trust.

Trust Charities Brought Together

The Prince’s Trust as we know it today is consolidated. The charity is recognized by HM The Queen and given a Royal Charter.

Prince’s Charities Canada Established

Prince’s Trust International Established

Prince’s Trust International is launched by the then Prince of Wales at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta – the charity now delivers in 17 countries.

Celebrating 40 Years

The Trust celebrates 40 years.

Prince’s Trust Australia Established

Prince’s Trust Australia join The Prince’s Trust family (formerly Prince’s Charities Australia).

Prince’s Trust Canada Established

Prince’s Trust Canada joins the Prince’s Trust family (formerly Prince’s Charities Canada).

Prince’s Trust Group Established

The Prince’s Trust Group brings together all Prince’s Trust charities into a global network. The King’s Trust Group’s mission is to transform lives and build sustainable communities across the world. Through the
King’s Trust Group young people are supported to access education, employment and self-employment.

Prince’s Trust New Zealand Established.

Prince’s Trust USA is established.

HH The Aga Khan Global Founding Patron

HH The Aga Khan becomes the Global Founding Patron of The Prince’s Trust.

The Prince’s Trust reaches the incredible milestone of helping over a million people to transform their lives.

First Global Gala

The Prince’s Trust has its first Global Gala in New York co-hosted by Chairman of our Global Ambassador Group, Lionel Richie and Global Ambassador, Edward Enninful.

The King’s Trust

The Prince’s Trust renamed The King’s Trust to reflect its founder’s new role unveiling a new youth centered brand, furthering our mission is to help young people facing barriers increase their employability.
