As we approach the holiday season, I am filled with gratitude for your support – whether it’s recommending our programs to a young person or Veteran in your life or liking one of our posts on social media – your support has helped us deliver on our mission to empower youth and Veterans in their quest to find meaningful employment.
Thank you to all those who have made a financial contribution to Prince’s Trust Canada (PTC). Of particular note are our major donors whose unwavering belief and sponsorship of our work allows us to do what we do.
To bring your support to life, I am pleased to share two stories of individuals who have benefited tremendously from PTC programming this year:
Youth participant, Selena participated in our explore careers in hotels program in partnership with Delta Winnipeg. There, she was able to learn about housekeeping, banquet serving, conflict management and hone her networking skills before meeting with senior hotel staff. She did so well at networking, she immediately landed herself a job at the hotel.
Veteran and entrepreneur, Louise Leslie, participated in PTC’s Veteran entrepreneurship bootcamp in Halifax as well as the mentorship program. She credits the support she received from PTC and mentors as being crucial to the success of her business Geolearns, a company that makes land-based classroom-ready earth science learning accessible to teachers.
These are just two of many stories of the young people and Veterans PTC has served this year.
