Success Story
Felt like he had valuable skills
Daniel had studied supply chain management at Humber College and Sheridan College, but since graduating he had struggled to find paid work in his field.
Upon hearing about The King’s Trust Canada’s free skill building programs, Daniel decided to sign up! He attended two programs that taught participants how to get interview ready. The program showed him that he had transferable skills that he hadn’t seen as valuable before..
“I didn’t have any employment opportunities before, just a lot of volunteer opportunities, but this was a chance to gain paid work experience. First opportunity to put my skills to the test.”
Through TKTC programs, Daniel ended up landing a job as a Guest Services Representative at the CN Tower. The role provided a platform to apply his problem-solving skills on a regular basis, navigating unique challenges and construction projects while ensuring guests’ satisfaction.
Daniel’s story serves as a testament to the transformative impact of The King’s Trust Canada’s programs, empowering young individuals like Daniel to overcome barriers, acquire new skills, and achieve career success.
