TORONTO, ONTARIO – December 4, 2024 – As part of The King’s Trust Canada’s mission to increase employability for 100,000 young people across Canada, TKTC is pleased to launch 360 – a 2-year, innovative, pilot program which focuses on giving young people facing barriers meaningful work experience at Canada’s top employers.
The program will teach young people foundational skills to get them work-ready, then places them in paid, entry level corporate jobs. To ensure the young people’s utmost success, 360 provides mentorship, wrap-around support and valuable professional networking opportunities throughout the entire program.
“We’re thrilled to pilot 360 during a time where young people are falling through the gaps,” said Farah Mohamed, CEO, The King’s Trust Canada. “By partnering with some of Canada’s top employers, we’re breaking down barriers to employment for those who need it most and building a skilled workforce for Canada’s future.”
The first 360 cohort will see 10 young people who face barriers to employment placed in paid positions at the following leading Canadian companies in March 2025
- Canada Life
- Deloitte
- Fasken
- Lallemand
- Maple Lodge Farms
- Roche Canada
Following completion of the program, graduates of 360 will possess sought-after professional skills, real work experience at reputable organizations, positive references, a professional network and most importantly, the confidence to self-navigate the world of work.
